South Lebanon blends outdoor adventure with upscale vibes

October 8, 2019

Quick! It’s Saturday afternoon and you have a few hours to spare. What would you rather do: Hop on a bike for a 10-mile ride, check off your shopping list and enjoy lunch out, or relax on a patio with a cold brew? No matter your answer, the greater South Lebanon area offers all this and more to its local residential community. And those living at Vista Pointe have a front row seat to all the action.

Get outside

Whether it’s leisurely strolls or speeding rollercoasters you might fancy, it’s easy to live your best outdoorsy lifestyle in Northeastern Cincinnati. The Loveland Bike Trail offers miles of smooth, paved trails for the avid or novice biker, hiker or walker, and dozens of eateries and pubs line the path in either direction. Cartridge Brewery will open its doors in Spring 2020, offering a new brewpub stop along the trail at the old Peters Cartridge Factory in Kings Mills.

Those craving a strong need for speed can hit up world-famous King’s Island, which will unveil its new “gigacoaster,” Orion, in Spring 2020. Or, jump across the street to The Beach Waterpark where you can ride the Soaring Eagle Zipline across a wave pool!

Wine and dine

A few miles from Vista Pointe, Valley Vineyards has offered a variety of award-winning wines and craft beers for nearly 50 years. Located in Morrow, the Vineyards hold special tastings, live music and holiday events throughout the year. Sonder Brewing just arrived in nearby Mason, offering a brewhouse and taproom, including a dog-friendly patio, bar bites, live music and Sunday morning yoga.

Also in Mason, the Deerfield Towne Center welcomed Joella’s Hot Chicken, NoBaked Cookie Dough and Frenchie Fresh to its eateries lineup this past summer. And, right next to the Beach Waterpark in Kings Mills, a new Russian/European restaurant opened its doors last year. Woodhouse Kitchen & Bar features an upscale, global menu, fine spirits and plenty of indoor and outdoor private event space for special occasions.

Close to home shopping

Need to make a Target run? Just two miles north of the Vista Pointe community is the Pavilion at Rivers Crossing, featuring anchor stores Target, Kohl’s and Lowe’s. New to the Pavilion is TJ Maxx, and Chick-Fil-A is on its way soon. Fuel your shopping spirit with a quick stop at Starbuck’s near the entry to the plaza.

Thrill-seekers, biking enthusiasts and aisle wanderers alike can find their solace close to home in South Lebanon, Ohio. Residents of the Vista Pointe community can enjoy all the comforts of a custom home, with their favorite shops, restaurants and activities just a few short minutes away.
